PARENT SUPPORT AND COMMUNICATION

Everyone is responsible for the success of the student including the student him/herself. The job of the parent/guardian is to support the student and ensure they are getting the physical, emotional, and the necessary tools needed to be successful in the class. As a parent, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. The only way I can be responsive to your request(s) is to be professional and timely in both our communications. As your student’s teacher, I am not perfect, so I do make mistakes. I do own up to my own mistakes and attempt to fix whatever I might have missed the mark on. As a parent, it is your responsibility to make sure you review Infinite Campus at least once a week to ensure that you student is completing the assignments. I have laid out most processes in this Welcome Letter so that there are no surprises. My email is SeaweBR@richmond.k12.ga.us. My cell phone for emergencies is (706) 524-6386. Please text me first so that I might respond since I might be conducting class or conducting teacher’s conferences. By District policy, I have 24 hours to reply to you request. I try to be as timely as possible, but I also run a 100+ student class with 4 periods. Please be patient with me. Email is a wonderful way for me to get back to you also because phone reception in my classroom is not particularly good.
