PLAGARISM/CHEATING/DISHONESTY

At Murphey Maverick, we pride ourselves on being honest. Honesty builds a foundation of trust and great character building. Plagiarism and cheating go together and are NOT TOLERATED at Murphey. I am a big supporter that as my student you ask questions. I would never want to have to deal with dishonest situations that as a student you know is the wrong choice to make. Plagiarism is where you copy someone else’s work for your own. Cheating is where you do not do your own work or duplicate other students’ work as your own work. Examples include copying material from the internet and not citing your work or even simply looking over someone else’s shoulder and copying verbatim what they write. Also, in a testing environment, talking during the assessment or even working collaboratively with another student when the assessment is only evaluating your performance. Please think what you do before you DO IT! If you think it is wrong, then do not do it.
