  • BE A MODEL STUDENT AND BE PROUD TO BE A MURPHEY MAVERICK!

     

    At your prior school, you might have or have not switched periods. As a Murphey Maverick, we expect our students to follow our STAR Program. The STAR program follows the behavioral program for our school. This will create a safe and inviting environment for ALL our students. Our school prides itself on self-sufficiency and self-regulation of each of our actions. Treat others how you would want to be treated! Being a model student, you will be rewarded for your efforts. You will be able to attend and participate in ALL school-related activities. However, not following the Code of Conduct can result in disciplinary consequences, whereas you will not be able to attend these events. These may include but not limited to fighting, harassment, academic deficiencies, disrespect to your peers, teachers, or educational stakeholders. There are many other reasons why you may or may not be able to attend events. The rule of Thumb is if you think doing it is wrong, then do not do it! If someone is doing something dishonestly, or against the safety of the school, please report it immediately to ME, a teacher, or an Administrator.

    A model student at Murphey is willing to learn and grow from their school experiences.  This student does well in class, doesn’t cause trouble inside and outside the classroom, and gets involved with school activities and extra-curricular organizations. 

     

    A model student at Murphey has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a desire to learn, a burning curiosity, and the ability to overcome adversity, and an imagination that helps them make connections.
