  • GRADING – Science Exploratory Experience

    It is important that you understand that not everything will be graded. However, by doing the work you are learning the material and will successfully complete the graded Assignments. As your science teacher, it is my goal to give you the tools needed to be successful and pass the class. It is your job to do the work by completing the assignments in class and homework at home if needed. There will be 4 projects. One will include a Science Project. It is imperative that you complete this Science Project since it will be graded heavily second semester. The purpose of the projects is to validate to me that you understood the material. They are quarterly assignments so you will have about 2 months to complete the project. I will try my best to introduce these projects at the beginning of each quarter. The following is the breakdown on the grading that will be used in my class:  Note: the Richmond County School Systems breaks down what the assignments will fall into:

    This will be work we do with labs.

    Quizzes

    This could be Pop or informal quizzes to check on you’re understanding on the material.

    Pre-Assessment Assignments

    Pre-assess what you know.
