Special Education Interrelated Science, Grades 9–12
Cross Creek High School
Hello and welcome! I'm Ms. Rogers, and I’m proud to serve as the Special Education Interrelated Science teacher here at Cross Creek. This is my fifth year teaching, and I work with students in small group settings across Physical Science, Biology, Environmental Science, and Forensic Science.
I believe that learning happens every day, everywhere—not just in the classroom. Because every student learns differently, I use a variety of teaching strategies to make science accessible, hands-on, and meaningful for all learners. My goal is to build confidence, spark curiosity, and support each student as they grow both academically and personally.
Outside of teaching, I sponsor the Culture and Mythology Club and High School High Tech (HSHT) program, and co-sponsor the Cross Creek Gaming Guild. I’m a bit of a geek at heart—I love games, books, and anything sci-fi or fantasy.
I'm excited to work with you and your student this year!

Minor Grades – 60%
Examples: quizzes, labs, and graded assignments to monitor progress.

Students are expected to submit assignments on time. Multiple incidents of late work may result in teacher-student-parent conferences or examining and correcting the student’s work habits through an academic contract.
Students may have their scores reduced by 5% per school day for a 25% maximum reduction (five school days). Late work submitted after the fifth school day will only be accepted at the teacher’s discretion.
Completing work in a timely manner during the learning unit is essential for academic success.
