My name is Charles West, Jr, and I’m a passionate Special Education teacher committed to helping every student thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. I believe that all students can succeed when given the right tools, support, and encouragement.

With a background in SpEd, I specialize in creating inclusive learning environments that are structured, engaging, and responsive to diverse learning needs. Whether I’m teaching a reading comprehension strategy or guiding students through a writing workshop, my goal is always the same: to build confidence, spark curiosity, and celebrate progress at every step.

I have 3 years of teaching experience and hold certifications in Special Education. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students who have a wide range of learning styles, strengths, and challenges. I believe in meeting each student where they are and partnering with families to support their unique journey.

I incorporate evidence-based practices like differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and social-emotional learning into my daily teaching. I also collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers to ensure every learner has access to high-quality instruction and the opportunity to grow.

Outside the classroom, I’m always learning—whether through professional development, reading, or reflecting on what works best for my students. I’m excited to continue this journey of growth and service, and I’m grateful for the chance to make a difference every day.
