Greetings, Patriots!
I’m Dr. Griffin, and I feel truly honored to have you in my class. I'm excited to learn and grow with you this school year.
Frederick Douglass once said, “Once you learn to read, you’ll forever be free.” Douglass’s insight goes beyond mere literacy— it’s about wielding reading as a tool to shape the world around us. When we move beyond merely recognizing words on a page, we unlock our potential to perceive reality as it truly is. From there, we can begin to shape the life and community we wish to have.
Whether you’re joining me for 10th Grade ELA or AP Research, I approach reading and writing with the utmost seriousness. After all, how can we envision utopia if we can’t first imagine it within our own minds? While we may not discover the cure for cancer or unravel life’s deepest mysteries, we’re embarking on a journey toward accomplishing remarkable feats.
Welcome to my class!
