Hello! My name is Sean Porter, and I currently teach British Literature and Study Skills in both co-taught and small group classroom settings. I am passionate about education and committed to supporting all students in reaching their full potential. I’m excited to be part of the Westside High School team and look forward to working closely with you and your family this school year.

Originally from the St. Louis Metropolitan Area in Missouri, I began my career in the Ferguson-Florissant School District as an intervention specialist before transitioning into the classroom. This is my second year at Westside, and I am proud to serve as the Head Volleyball Coach. Coaching and teaching are both deeply rewarding, and I enjoy helping students grow both academically and athletically.

Outside of school, I enjoy cooking, traveling, and playing and coaching volleyball. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love exploring new topics and ideas.
