Course Title: Advanced Algebra: Concepts & Connections
Course Description
This course builds on Algebra I concepts and introduces more advanced algebraic thinking. It is designed for students receiving special education services and includes accommodations and modifications to support diverse learning needs. Emphasis is placed on real-world applications, problem-solving strategies, and developing mathematical confidence.
Course Goals
By the end of this course, students will:
- Solve and graph linear, quadratic, and exponential functions.
- Understand and apply systems of equations and inequalities.
- Explore polynomials, factoring, and rational expressions.
- Use algebraic models to represent and solve real-world problems.
- Strengthen mathematical reasoning and communication skills.
