Welcome Letter

Hello, I am Illya Allen and I am your child’s mathematics teacher here at Josey High School. I earned my Associate Degree from Savannah State College. Later, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Augusta State University. I also received my Master’s Degree in Education from Walden University.  I have been an educator for 11 years. I spent 10 years teaching mathematics at Josey High and Murphey Middle School and 1 year at Augusta Technical College. I have two boys Ryan and Justin who are attending Albany State University. Currently, I am the Chairperson of the Math Department and I will be co-teaching Algebra and Advance Mathematics Decision Making. I look forward to teaching every student that enters my classroom during the year 2025-2026 school year.
