I was raised in Evans, Georgia and am a product of the Columbia County School System. After graduating from Evans High School I attended Georgia Southern University where I obtained two degrees, a Bachelor of Science in French Education and a Master of Education in French with a minor in Spanish.l
I began my teaching career at the Academy of Richmond County in 2001 where I was also the Varsity Cheerleading Coach. I remained there until 2013 at which time I was transferred to Lucy C. Laney High School. I continued teaching French and also served as the World Languages Department Chair.
In 2015 I took 6 years off to raise my 2 sons and was fortunate enough in 2022 to have the opportunity to get back into the classroom at South Aiken High School in Aiken County, South Carolina.
In 2024 I was thrilled to be invited to become part of the faculty at RCTCM, back in Richmond County. This is my 2nd year and I have taught Exploratory French and Spanish courses to middle school students, Spanish 1 and French 1 to high school students.
My resume is attached as well which contains awards, activities and other teaching and public relations related jobs I had early in my career including living in France and teaching English at a French high school as well as working in Washington, D.C. for a United States Congressman.
I have loved language for as long as I can remember and my work experience has provided me with invaluable skills in the education arena.
