Mrs. Jartress Castillo
Hello! My name is Mrs. Castillo, and I am proud to be a lifelong resident of Augusta, Georgia. My educational journey began right here in our local community, attending Sue Reynolds Elementary, Langford Middle School, A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet School, and graduating from the Academy of Richmond County (ARC).
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Paine College, followed by a Master’s degree from Augusta State University, and later, a Specialist degree from Georgia Regents University. I am happily married and a proud mother of four wonderful children.
Since beginning my teaching career in 2011, I’ve had the privilege of serving in various capacities within the classroom and beyond. I’ve taught grades 3 through 5 across all content areas and have also worked as a gifted education teacher. Currently, I serve as an Instructional Specialist with the Richmond County School System, where I coach and support teachers in their instructional practices. My goal is to empower educators so they can better support students, ultimately leading to meaningful growth and academic success.
I am deeply passionate about education and remain committed to making a lasting impact on the lives of both students and educators.
