¡Hola y bienvenidos a mi clase de Español! / Hello and welcome to my Spanish class!

My name is Alexandra Gómez Coloane, and I’m excited to begin this journey with you at Academy of Richmond County. I come from Chile, a country full of natural beauty and cultural diversity, and I’m proud to share my language and heritage with you throughout the school year.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Education, a professional teaching degree in English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and a specialization in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), which focuses on teaching English in practical, real-world contexts. I’ve taught English for several years in Chile, and now I’m thrilled to continue this path in the United States as your Spanish teacher, this being my second year at ARC. 

My goal is to create a supportive, engaging, and culturally rich environment where we can explore the Spanish language and the many communities that speak it.
