Welcome! I’m Dr. Sally Gomez, proud to serve as the 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher and Enhanced Literature & Composition I Y instructor at Tutt Middle School. Now in my second year at Tutt, I’m thrilled to continue working with our incredible students and families.
I hold a doctorate degree in business administration and am certified to teach English Language Arts at both the middle and high school levels. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I’m passionate about fostering an inclusive, engaging classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and inspired to succeed.
My love for ELA runs deep especially when it comes to teaching argumentative writing. I believe middle school is a transformative time, and I’m honored to help students build confidence in their voice and critical thinking skills. My teaching philosophy is simple: every learner deserves a chance to thrive, and no child should be left behind.
Outside the classroom, I’m a licensed skin specialist with a passion for wellness. I’m a proud mom of two, married to my best friend, and originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and Phoenix, Arizona. I love traveling especially to Mexico cooking delicious meals, and spending time with my five dogs. Being a “ mom” is one of my greatest joys!
Looking ahead, I’m actively working toward becoming a middle school principal. Leadership is a natural extension of my commitment to education, and I’m excited about the opportunity to make an even greater impact.
I look forward to a successful and inspiring school year filled with growth, learning, and connection. Parents and guardians are always welcome to reach out I believe strong communication builds strong partnerships.
Warmly,
Dr. Gomez ELA
