🌟 Inspiring Young Scientists to Explore, Discover, and Create!
Welcome to our annual Science Fair, where students become scientists! All 3rd–5th grade students are required to complete a science fair project as part of their academic journey. This exciting event encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.
📅 Important Dates:
- Final Project Due: November 14th, 2025 (No late entries accepted for judging)
- Classroom Fair: November 17th-19th, 2025
- WRES Science Fair Judging: December 2nd, 2025
- Winners Submitted: December 16th, 2025
🧰 What Students Need:
- A composition journal (logbook)
- A 3-prong folder or clear folder for the formal report
- A tri-fold display board
🚫 Project Guidelines:
- Projects must be experiments, not models (e.g., no volcanoes).
- No photos showing body parts (including hands) on the display board.
- Prohibited topics: experiments involving vertebrate animals, humans (including taste tests), or mold growth. These will not be eligible for judging.

Students will complete their projects in stages:
- Topic & Question
- Hypothesis & Variables
- Research & Bibliography
- Materials & Procedure
- Data Collection & Analysis
- Conclusion & Extension
- Abstract & Formal Report
- Display Board
Each component has a due date and will be checked for completion. These checkpoints count toward the student’s homework conduct grade.
