Each students will perform the following tasks on Days 1-10.

On Days 1-4: The student will review the Context Clues PowerPoint. 

Instructions:

Open the PowerPoint, Read through each of the 34 slides and take notes from Clues in Sentences Investigation PowerPoint.

 Day 1: Review slides 1-11:  Guessing the Meaning of the Unfamiliar Word and take notes.

Day 2:  Review slides 12-15:  Context Clues;  slides 16-17; Definitions;  slides 18-19; Restatement/Synonym Clues and take notes.

Day 3: Review slides 20; Comparisons; slides 21-22 Contrast or Antonym, slides 23-24 Example and take notes.

Day 4:  Review slides 25; List or Series; slide 26 Cause and Effect; slide 27 Description or Inference; slides 30-31 Word Structure Etymology and slides 32-34 Word Clues Practice and take notes.

Day 5:  Complete Context Clues Worksheet 1

Day 6:  Complete Context Clues Worksheet 2

Day 7: Read and follow instructions for GR6 Limited Resources

Day 8: Read and follow instructions for What's the Forecast

Day 9:  Read and follow instructions for Vocabulary Emergency Plan 1
