Dear Parents,
Welcome to 4th Grade! Our team of teachers consists of Mr. Bonner, Ms. Houston, and Ms. Streetman. We are excited about the upcoming 2020 -2021 school year, and we look forward to helping your child achieve the 4th grade academic goals. Below we have listed information that will be helpful to you this year.
4th Grade Subject Areas:
• English Language Arts - Includes reading, reading comprehension, writing, spelling, and grammar.
• Mathematics - Includes reading, writing and solving multi-digit whole numbers using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form. Comparing multi-digit numbers using the symbols >, =, and <.
Also the multiplication and division of 2 digit or more numbers.
• Science - Includes weather, forces of motion, stars and the solar system, sound and light and the ecology.
• Social Studies - Includes the study of the early years of our country and its separation from England.
Classroom Expectations:
We expect students to come prepared to learn everyday. Your child should have all materials needed to complete assignments and activities on a daily basis. Good behavior will be praised and inappropriate behavior will handled based on the guidelines of the Richmond County School System. Additional information about our conduct system will be given at a later date.
Supplies: Please see the handout that is available from your child's homeroom teacher. Please try to obtain as much of the major items on the list as possible.

School Hours are 7:00 to 2:15 everyday.
