    As a School Counselor, I am here to assist students with daily stresses and concerns, as well as be proactive about skills and behaviors that may impact a student's academic success.  I am also here to address parents' concerns.  You will often see me as part of the Response to Intervention team meetings and parent conferences.  I am available Monday-Friday from 8:15 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

    I'm Mrs. Jasmine Shields, a dedicated educator with six years of experience teaching elementary and middle school in Richmond County. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University and a Master’s in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University. Currently, I am pursuing a Master’s in School Counseling at Augusta University.

    As the school counselor, I support students in grades K–5, working closely with teachers and staff to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

    Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any concerns regarding your child. I’m here to support both families and educators in creating a positive school experience.

    Mrs. Melody Mays, Administrative Assistant, is a Walker Wildcat alum. She has two children who attended C. T. Walker and went on to Davidson Fine Arts and RCTCM.  She is in Room 10 and can assist you with records and transcripts as well as Volunteer Training.
